R Frerichs, MD, FAAP

Dr. R received his medical degree at Vanderbilt Medical School in 1986 and completed pediatric residency at UNC, Chapel Hill. Dr. R joined North Raleigh Pediatrics full-time in July 1989. He was certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in 1991, with latest re-certification in 2012.

Dr. R and his partner purchased the property at 7205 Stonehenge Drive in 1993, where the practice is now located. He has served as a preceptor for UNC medical students since 1997.

He is currently Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at UNC School of Medicine. In 2006-07, he served a two-year term as Chairman of Pediatrics at WakeMed.
